A glimpse of Solitude One's Diving Skiff

Alfonso taking one of the skiff for a test...

Solitude One skiff(s) has a unique hull design which is conceptualised by our in-house naval architect, Gerard Ogang.  The rest of the boat (except for the roof frame and Canvas) was also custom built in-house with fiberglass for the extra strength and ease of maintenance. The composite used is also a higher grade which gives the skiff the added strength without the usual weight thus making it lighter and saving fuel in the long run.

This Skiff, christened as "M1", is powered by twin 150HP outboard engines and is equipped with VHF, Compass, GPS, navigation lights and deck lightings. Of course, during dives, on board medical oxygen will be available as well.

M1 will share her duties with another one (christened "M2") on Solitude One bringing her guests diving, island tours or just a ride.

Solitude One's Cabins and Sea Trial Photos released!

On her first Sea Trial in Manila Bay
After much delays with the experiences that many projects would undergo except for the extreme weathers that one can "enjoy" in Manila, we are happy that we have finally reached the last stage of our first reconstruction project of turning a veteran vessel into a modern looking yacht.

Some of you may already have seen these images as they have been posted on our facebook page. For those who have not, click here to view a few of the images released. Feel free to also take a look at the faces behind our first project.

More photos will be added once we get closer to leaving Manila for Palau...

New domain goes live!

Ever since we had the original freelance web designer go AWOL on us, we engaged another and decided to create a more appropriate domain www.solitude-one.com for our very first ship. What looked like a possible mess turns out to be some blessing in diguised as with our new web designer, he gave us a better site in terms of aesthetics and technicalities, especially making our website is mobile-ready as well!

www.solitude-liveaboards.com will redirect to the new domain from now but our email address remains in the solitude-liveaboards.com domain.

Changes to Deluxe Cabin Arrangements

Its never easy to make available the best desirable cabin sharing options, especially when we are in demand by many different cultures/countries.

So in order to allow us to  be able to accommodate the cabin sharing type requests to the best that we can, we have decided to go turn 3 (cabins B3, B5 and B7 on the layout plan) of the deluxe cabins to have a twin OR double sharing option by adding a single bed 92cm (3ft) x 199cm (6.5ft) above the double bed.

The quick fact, vessel layout and data sheets have been updated, and you can download them from our public drive

Solitude on the World Wide Web

www.solitude-liveaboards.com will see a whole new different look within the week. This blog will be be replaced by our official website which will be the window to our world where you will find what you need to know about our company.

Since our first vessel, MV Solitude One is still undergoing her reconstruction and retrofitting, the images of the vessel are artist impressions which will be replaced as soon as we are able to take the real images of her.

Other wonderful images taken in Palau found on our site are generously contributed by Torsten Velden, Andy Goh and BK Chin. A big thank-you Guys!
